Summer 48 Issue Available for Download
Hello fiddlers everywhere! This issue just came out and it’s a good one. It’s summer here in South Texas and it feels like it’s summer everywhere. This is a hot issue with some of the best fiddlers on the planet. For starters, there’s Lora Staples from Red Desert Violin. A wonderful performer and teacher. I interviewed Lora and it was an amazing conversation. Lora is teaching Jerusalem Ridge in this issue, and she really breaks it down. There is seven videos to this tutorial and every one is fantastic.
Next, the wonderful fiddler, teacher and composer, Natalie Padilla is featured in an exclusive interview I did with her. Natalie has much to say about fiddling, teaching, composing and all things about becoming a better musician. She teaches the tune, Cranberry Rock, the Burl Hammons classic.
To wrap it all up, the master himself, Vi Wickam, of [my]Talent Forge is featured in a one of a kind interview. It was so much fun talking with Vi and getting his perspective on all things, fiddling included. After Vi did his 365 Fiddle Tunes a Day a few years ago, he inspired many other fiddlers to do something similar. You can sign up and get all those fiddle tunes here: 365 DAYS OF FIDDLE TUNES
And check out Vi and Paul Anastsio’s new album Swinging at the Savoy
